Book trailer vs book teaser: which do you need?
A teaser is short — usually 15 to 30 seconds — and built to stop the scroll. A trailer runs longer, often 60 to 90 seconds, and gives readers enough of the world to commit.
When to use a teaser
Cover reveals, pre-order announcements, and ads where you only have a moment to catch attention.
When to use a trailer
Launch day, your website, your Amazon page and YouTube — places where readers have already chosen to watch.
Most authors get the best results using both: teasers to build interest, the trailer to close the sale.
